As for the usefullness I really can't find any but its something I've been wanting to try and there will be more to come. As far as size goes the head is 5 1/4" and the haft is 11 3/4". To scale I'd say its half size but as weight goes its a 1/4 of a normal size one. The haft was made out of a piece of oak and the head at one time was a small demolition pry bar. After I finished the haft I remembered I had some curley maple I could have used so I'll try to remember I have it for the next one. The amount of time spent on making the haft was more than what I had in forging and finishing the head.

Raymond,

I've been seeing your posts with your work often on Bladeforums. If I haven't said it before, I say it now: You are constantly blowing me away with your designs and workmanship. All of it is outstanding.

Best,

~Brian.

Brian, I appreciate your comment! Just want you to know I'm still blown away from what I've been turning out. Untill I tried making the hawks and axes I would have never even thought it possible. I still like forging and making knives but the hawks can be even more addictive. If anyone here happens to make it to the Oregon Knife Show I'll be doing the forging demonstration on Sunday starting at 11am and I'll be doing a tomahawk...... The show is open for the public on the 9th and 10th of April.

Yes, I'll have a table at the show. I'll be at V-7. If your a club member you can come in on Friday but Saturday and Sunday for the general public. As far as the forging demo goes I'll be doing it from 11am to around 1pm on just Sunday.

The only thing I won't be selling are my socks. I've got a number of hawks made up and forsale. Please introduce yourself to me when you come by my table..
