Depending on the quality of the bone and jigging, it could be a waste of bone. Kind of like black stag. When it comes to bone, I don't think the dye should be dark enough to cover the natural texture and looks of the bone. But that's just my taste.

Gus and I actually posted at the same time in the sale thread, and Gus was nice enough to let me have it.
It was a sale Don was having of his knives, for a deceased collector/friend of Don's work for the collector's widow.
Managed to score two early Hanson Bowies at this sale also but missed out on a Sunfish, dang it.

As for black, if done with the end result in mind it can work. If not thought out correctly it looks like an after thought.
