I am interested in buying either a Buck 110 or 532 from Buck's Custom Shop. The blade material I am leaning towards is BG-32, although the Ionfusion blades are interesting.

What do you think about the work that comes out of Buck's Custom Shop.

The knife would be used for outdoor general utility work or backpacking.

Thanks for your comments.

I haven't ordered anything from PCKS (I'm hooked on lightweights, so I have no desire for another 110). But I do read the Buck forum here quite often and those guys rave about 'em. Sure, you get a few who complain  but even when that's the case, the Buck folks ALWAYS do whatever it takes to make the knife exactly like the customer wants it. For someone looking for a beefy folder like the 110, there's no better deal out there than Pete's custom shop.

Bucks custom shop is run by this guy who's REAL name is Wild Bill Cody... He makes all the presentation knives for Buck, and also does prototype work for Buck... He makes some awesome stuff including hand made jewelry, and all sorts of other cool things like belt buckles...
Paul Bos introduced me to him when I was down there getting some knives heat treated. Wilde has his own space at the HUGE facility.. Kinda has the feel of a mad scientists lab.. He started breaking things out of a safe to show me, and it was all COOL... Workmanship should be A+..
