This is my "proof of concept" and there are some things that will be changed for the production ones. The blades will have slightly wider profiles and the handle screws will be moved in some. The pocket clip will probably be different too.

It has been my EDC for over a week now and I am happy with how it works. It has a nice smooth action and the lockup is very solid. It feels comfortable in either hand.

Here are the photos. It has a 3" an S30V blade, .051" titanium liners, stainless steel fittings, and black linen micarta scales.

Questions and comments are encouraged.

I like the looks of this knife. I think having both a slim and wider profile blade as options would be a good idea.

Fine looking craftsmanship, I agree with Keith M. all the way.

If I was to change anything asap would be the pocket clip from the middle pictures the pocket clip looks to be an obstacle getting a good grip on the knife.

I have several BM knives with that pocket clip, it's a good clip for the pocket but not for usage, IMO.

Looks Much Better Than "your First" Is Supposed To...

Hats Off To You Chris!!

I like it a lot. Good blade shape, thick liner lock, nice all around design.

Looks nice. It looks like it would fit in with the Al Mar folders. Which I like.

Better looking than my 5th one did but I'm slow.:D

Great job Chris. I rather like the slender blade myself, and the clip? Well, something that isn't quite as wide and doesn't stand up as high would be nice I think on that slender handle.

One of the other things I see is the position of the thumb stud. I prefer it to be back away from the edge so I don't have to take it off, or so the guy that buys it doesn't in order to sharpen it at say a steeper angle on an Edge Pro or even some stones but I know a lot of guys put them mounted on the primary grind.

What I'm talking about is like in the one I did for myself in my signiture line for example. You can't see the stud but the screw shows and note the position. Thats something to think about but otherwise its a fine knife. Especially for a first effort.

Great looking work! It's nice and slim plus it's probably fairly lightwieght. Excellent first!

apart from the fasteners looking a little to large, that is a great looking knife.

Really Like this knife. Especially the S30V blade. I have learned alot from this forum and as a project i want to make an S30V blade for my CS Recon 1. What resources did you use to produce the blade? Any books, web-sites etc. would be appreciated.

Good feedback everyone, thank you! More comments and questions are encouraged.

MikesWideGlide98 - practically everything I know about knifemaking began with reading things here. Wayne Goddard's book "The $50 Knife Shop" is a good first resource.

Great looking knife. Looks like it would handle very well. I love the little chisel ground I got from you. Keep up the good work!
