I've been thinking about one for a while - I'm starting to get into Liner Locks again and despite the fact that it is assisted, and Tip-down carry (I prefer the opposite of both), I'd probably just slip this on in the pocket without clipping it anyways, so the cilp is really just going to give my fingers grip on opening/closing

Can it be de-assisted (does it have a detent ball/hole for closed-retention)?

Mine was my first "expensive" knife last May and I've been really pleased with it in that time. I carried it every day from May to early January and it carries very well, isn't freakishly long so it doesn't freak people out, has a great assist, beautiful made shape and finish and it's strong and well built. My only complaint is tip down carry. Buy it! Yes it can be deassisted if you took out the roller bar between the leaf springs in the liners. I'm pretty sure it has a ball detent but I can't really feel it. I can see the ball on the lock bar but I can't remember what it looks like inside.

it is super easy to deassist and reinstall the assist if desired. IT's a nice knife but could use a tip up clip option.

I've been wanting one for a long time and finally got it. I like the blade shape, I like the contoured scales, I like the deep carry clip, and I like the Nitrous.

I love mine and would recommend it to anyone.

One thing I may not like if I was a heavy user is the thin blade, if I had to pry or cut thick things allot it would not be the best choice.
Over the three months I have used it nothing came close to damaging the blade.

My 2c on a great knife!
I also love how it opens, it sounds amazing!

I love the design, but the only one I have held had an extremely weak lock bar. I wish it was an axis lock, then id buy one for sure.
