What do you think of the Bill Moran Drop Point

I'm talking with a gentleman who wants to sell me a Bill Moran Drop Point.

I actually haven't read a lot about this fixed blade online (all of the love seems to go to the MULE, Temperance, or Aqua Salt).

The handle looks comfortable with the Kraton inserts, the blade shape looks good with that belly, and I've had good experience with VG-10 in small EDC knives.

What are your opinions on this design?
I heard it's not full tang but can it take a beating?
I would not make a habit of it but could you baton with this knife without it chipping out?

Any experience and anecdotes would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Best,
Brass

Probably. VG-10 is much more likely to roll or flatten the edge than chip. I'd still go for a carbon steel (1095, tool steels, or whatever) or H1 over stainless steels for serious batoning, though.
