What do you think of the BM Oportunist?

Im thinking this could be a vialble clip knife for my workplace. I would carry it when Im in a suit.

I like the design but the stableized wood scales look dry and crummy on some of the Oportunists I have seen.

The wood grips are fine.I have the old model without the pocket clip and the grip is only average since its so smooth.but i think that the newer model with the clip will provide better 'purchase' as your finger can go around the clip.

Edge retention wise i cant say much, since mine has only been used for ~3months,but for light chores which it is intended to do(cutting paper and packages etc.),it should hold up for a fairly long time.I've never had a need to sharpen mine tho ive no doubts it will be easy to sharpen since its technically a warncliffe with a tip.plus its s30v :D

All in all its a very lightweight, charming(wood grips + jigged aluminium O.O) gentleman folder with solid lockup and a razor sharp blade.I'd recommend it,but try to get one with the clip.Good luck!

Note:Try to get a suit which suits the knife..not a knife to suit the suit!;)

Thanks for the comments. I have a number of pocketknives and my favorite is a pearl handled peanut. When Im in a suit, which is daily at my office, I dont like a pocketknife floating around the pocket of my suit pants. I figure I could get away with a small clip folder. The Oportunist Im looking at is the new one with the clip. I may give it a try.
