What do you think of the Case SlimLock, 6.5 Bonestag

Look nice, but make me think of a William Henry Lancet model.

I'd really have to handle one to see how the fit & finish are on them. Like the fact they are using BG-42.

Unless I'm missing something, it doesn't say what type of lock mechanism is used. It looks like a linerlock. If so, I've had bad experience with Case linerlocks, specifically the Russlock and the Mid Folding Hunter. The problem is front/back as well as lateral blade play. however, based on the price of this knife, I'd have to speculate it's in another realm in terms of build quality, tolerances, etc.

It looks intriguing, that's for sure.

It is a linerlock.

I have never handled this knife, but I like the way it looks, and I really like BG42. My preference would be for the amboyna wood or smooth chestnut bone over the BoneStag.

Thank you for all your input.

I was initially interested in the bg42.
I like the design as well, the liner lock is the only drawback I see.

I would want a clipcase though, as spyderco has permanently spoiled me with pocket clips, I can no longer stand a knife at the bottom of my pocket.
