Extra threads on the skeletool are to be expected. I think that it very well might be the most anticipated new tool of the year. I know that I have it on my list for Christmas. Every year, my wife gets me a few pair of jeans, some shirts, a couple of DVDs or video games, and at least one really cool knife/multi-tool. That's the deal. She can load me up with a bunch of crap that I don't really want...just as long as something sharp is there somewhere
The skeletool is that item this year
Personally, I really like the idea of having a nice knife readily accessible with the rest of the multi-tool built in. For my needs, I need a knife and multi-tool equal amounts of the time. I cut open a lot of boxes and things at work. I also do a fair amount of repair work that requires a nice set of pliers. Granted, it's really not THAT big of a deal to pack a tool and a folder, but it would be great to get the tool off the belt and actually have one tool that will do both jobs pretty well.
The Skeletool is just about perfect for my needs. If only LM would come up with some way to attach a saw to the bit receiver, then it would be the perfect camping tool for me.
On an alcohol related note, I love the bottle opener clip. It worked well on my other leatherman knife. As a guy that really enjoys a good non-twist off beer on a regular basis, not having to fumble with getting the opener deployed is a big plus:thumbup:

I'm pretty anxious about getting my hands on a Skeletool. I've been intrigued by the design ever since it was shown at the Shot Show months ago.
That saw-attachment idea is a good one! Wonder if the little locking clip will be strong enough to withstand back-and-forth sawing motion?
