what do you think of this blade surface finished?

it's a acid etched surface finished,i have no clue that the consumers are interested in it.comparing this,stonwashed or blackwashed is more popular,right?

That's a pretty neat finish - I like that the acid etch pattern on the bolsters matches the blade.

The downside to using an acid etch like that is that they don't typically look good after using the blade. I think that's why you don't see it very often in production knives - they tend to prefer a stonewash or a satin finish. Acid etch finishes are typically done aftermarket, and are very subjective to personal taste.

I do like that there seems to be an almost damascus-like pattern near the edges, though. That's nifty.
