Cute? CUTE!?! Knives aren't cute! That knife is BADASS..........in a small sort of way. :D

I am working on a smaller one right now that is under 6" long and has a 2 1/2" blade. That is as small as I can make it and still get a comfortable grip on it.

.....cute was the first word that came to my mind when I saw it too!
I just didn't want to be the first to say "cute" though. :-)
I seriously do like it ! What kind of price would you put on it?? Ideas on sheathes?? What uses did you have in mind??

Larry S,

As far as price I don't think we are allowed to discuss that on this forum. But the first few will go fairly cheap, as I am a new maker and would like my work in people's hands so it can be evaluated. As far as sheaths go I have been having a little trouble with what kind would be best. So far I have made my own leather belt sheaths, and On Scene Tactical has done all my synthetic sheaths. I think for the bigger version a belt sheath probably leather is the way to go, for the smaller ones I am working on I think a multi position carry sheath probably in kydex, but I would like to dress it up a little, so maybe a kydex sheath with an exotic skin covering, kind of like Jens Anso does. I don't like making sheaths, so I need to find someone to do that kind of work for me.

As far as intended use goes, I basically designed this knife with some inspiration from the classic Loveless style drop hunter. I have always been fond of a dropped edge, and after making a few Loveless style hunters I decided I hate doing gaurds. I designed this knife after that. I think it sort of has a David Boye kind of look to it. I originally designed it as a drop point skinner/hunting style knife. The smaller version seems to make a very nice utility knife.
I have carried an Ed Caffrey EBK for a while. I also frequently carry neck knives. That being said the EBK is a little big for me to carry around in the city everyday, and it isn't dressy enough for me. Most of the neck knives have such thin little handles they aren't very comfortable to use. I see this knife as my perfect EDC urban utility fixed blade. Also I think it would make an excellent caper or if ground thin enough a paring knife.(the smaller one has more of point at the tip.) I am not sure why but carrying a folder just doesn't do it for me anymore.

I really like the looks of this knife. Some said "cute," I thought "neat." Clean lines, very nice dimensions and styling. Aesthetically, I find it very appealing.
