I had an umnumzaan but sold it due to the fact is was to big to fit in my jeans pocket without turning sidways. It was just to big for me to carry everyday. With that being said , i was just wondering what everyone thought of how they look.

i prefer the sebenza :D & if the sebbie is too big you can try the small sebbie

It's rather plain compared to the dressed up Sebenza, but it's supposed to have all sorts of improvements from what I've read.

I like it a lot. I don't really like how other CRK folders look....very boring to me. I seriously considering picking up a zaan but for the price there are other folders that take precedence.

I'm a medium sized folder guy myself, but I don't think the zaan would have bothered me.

I like the looks of the Umnumzaan. I didn't at first, but it grew on me.

I love the plain look of a reg or micarta inlay sebenza. I carry the small and large micarta with BB pins and screws.

When I saw the umnumzaan at Blade last year I didn't like the looks, and still don't. The cross cut lines(or whatever you call them) in the slabs is the main thing I don't like. Not crazy about the looks of the big shiney pivet screw either.

I'm basically the opposite.

I like the understated simplicity of the plain Sebenza. The Umnum seems contrived by comparison.

Just talking about the knife compositionally, not so much the technical objectives and manner in which they were approached.

I prefer the overall look of the Regular Sebenza but I have to admitt the Umnumzaan is more comfortable in hand.
I'm not really fond of it's blade profile, a kind of swedge regular blade would have been a great idea.
The real complain I have about CRK folders is the titanium handle finish, scratches and patina appears too quickly.

I have the small Sebenza w/micarta and a Large CGG Native American. Am not impressed with the look of the Umnumzaan but have not seen one in person and that could change things.

I think it looks pretty decent - not a huge change from the sebenza, in fact its the exact same concept and overall look, only with a way more aggressive blade. No need for all those fancy gimmicks screaming "im a a huge overbuilt tactical knife!", just a titanium frame with a premium blade.

Elegance in simplicity.
