I haven't had any experiences with Tora, but i hear that they're pretty good for the money. All of the khuks that i have obtained have been from HI. Biased as i may be, i really feel that unless there is a particular model from Tora that you are wanting that HI doesnt make you really couldn't go wrong with a piece from HI. If you live anywhere in North America then i'd go with HI. No international shipping. Not as likely to become lost in transit. What kind of khuk are you looking for? A user? A wall hanger? Heavy chopping? Details, man, details!:) Once again, welcome.

You don't recommend HI if I don't live in the US? Is international shipping that bad? Are there any custom and excise restrictions/requirements I should know about?

If that is the case, I better go with Tora in the UK. Has any member ordered anything from them? After a quick BF search, more questions:

1. Who is Sirupate?
2. What is his connection to Tora?

As mentioned in my previous thread (see above for the link), the kukri will be a gift though learning more about them on this and various other sites, I might purchase one for myself!

Mike: Sirupate is the owner of Tora IIRC.
The consensus is that the Tora kukris are pretty good although generally lighter in weight than the HI khukuri's.
There are a couple of Tora kukri's I wouldn't mind having but I find the prices and shipping costs a bit too high for my budget.:(
Tora has their own forums and some of your questions about them would be best asked there.;)
