the Spire folders that A.G. Russell has come out with? WH had produced these years ago, under contract with Moki, and now A.G. has picked up the line. So what are your thoughts?

I think they are some sweet looking folders.

No experience with them, but they are really nice looking.

Hi,

I like that blacklip pearl. By all accounts Mr. Russel sells good stuff. One of these could give my Leek a scare for pocket time.

I think they're freakin' beautiful and I love the style for lookin' at. The choices of handle material are perfect (classy and natural). The size seems just right for comfortable pants pocket carry. And the prices are reasonable considering the materials and source.

But for using, I prefer a blade with a bit of belly; I'd love to see a similarly-styled knife but with a General Purpose blade like those used on the One-Hand-Knives. And the thumb stud seems a bit out of place on a gent's knife.

OK, I broke down and got a BL Pearl version. <fingers crossed> We'll see if they are really as great as they appear </fingers crossed>

I own a black lip version and love it. fit and finish are perfect. On mine I have removed the pocket clip and did some stock removal in the but because there was a "void" there when the clip was removed. A simple braided leather pull was added and now she rides in my Benchmade Shoki sheath...Sorry Shoki ! I removed the clip because I wanted to see all of the Pearl...
A very nice looking and feeling Gents folder.
