I love the blade shape on the stag piece. The one that catches my eye the most though is that thuya burl one... that is awesome!!

They are all sweet but I also like the top one the best. Very unique design. Nice work!

Rene, you show a good range of skills in those knives, both flat and hollow ground. The inlet handle on the Thuya/Damascus piece is particularly nice since it shows off the damascus in the tang. And I too like the blade shape on the stag handled knife, as well as that with the pink ivory.

The toughest act of all though had to be getting that plunge exactly aligned with the front of the guard on the tanto, while keeping the edge dead straight. Nice work!

Thanks for all the nice comments, I am trying hard to make the best knives I can. Has this happened to anyone else.. I have been making knives for a little over a year. The fit and finish and grindlines were fair, and on this last batch of knives something happened something just clicked! I can't explain it!
But I am sure happy with the results.

That's the way it happens. Things seem to stand still and not get any better for awhile, then bang! It clicks and you're on a whole new level. It never stops doing that. After almost 20 years of doing this, and having that experience a dozen or more times, it happened to me again just recently. nice feeling...

The thing Rene can't show here is how well his knives feel in the hand. I can't explain it but you'd have to hold one. It just works.

They all look nice, but that red handled one is a real eye catcher....very nice.

UPDATED and REVISED

Those look great! I am a FNG newbie maker from East hampton Ct. I started last june with some O-1 and hand files, then bought a 1x30 belt sander, did a few with that, and realized I needed more power and bigger belts, so i sprung for a grizzly, which is still on backorder. I am at college now, so I cant wait for breaks to go home so i can grind. I am going thru serious withdrawl!

Richard,
The Tanto is sold, the other (4) are going with me to Ashokan Blade Seminar today. If they all don't sell I'll let you know.

I have a new webpage, not finished yet, have a few problems, but you can take alook.
