Hey Gang,
I jsut got a new catalog. Bulldog Brand Knife Co.
Now, they advertize knives like this ... " Blank Brothers Genuine Stag .. worth $200. sell for $60. "
Are these guys for real ?
How good are their knives ?
They say some of their knives are carbon steel and some are Solingen steel ? I'm not sure about the quality ?
So what do you guys know ?
I see about 10 knives I want to buy from them.
Thanks again,
Jack

Hey gang, I need some help. Does anybody know anything about this knife company ?
Thanks
Jack

Hold your water, Jack, this is a forum, not a chat room. There are 15,000+ members here, but they're not all on-line at any given moment. Sometimes, it takes more than two hours to get an answer to a question. Patients, my good man, patients.

Your right Chuck, Patience is Not one of my best suits.
But I am drooling at the mouth here, I really like the old slip joint stuff and the prices here look really really good to me. Now if the quality is there then look out I'm going blow the bank account.
Tell ya a story,
I got a slip joint trapper by shrade uncle henry old timer. About a 3 1/2 inch blade. Dulls real easy, but sharpens real easy too. You need all three blades. That way when one gets dull then you can use another.
It was only a 12.00 knife so what can you expect.
Me I didnt think it would dull as fast as it does.
Now when I was a kid I had a trapper it just kept cuttin and cuttin and cuttin I think it was carbon steel.
Thats what I want.
Good Luck
Jack

I've never had a Bulldog but they've been discussed from time to time over on the Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades forum. You might get good results posting this question over there. BTW that Schrade "uncle henry old timer" was a trapper with 3 blades?

Torz,
Your right that uncle henry was a 3 blade but not a trapper. It is a stockman it has a spey / clip and sheepsfoot. I must of had a brain fart !! I do like the knife but it doesnt hold and edge very well.
Good Luck
Jack
