Would you please offer your opinion of what this knife might be worth. I have a pre-production #3 Sebenza. I also have a letter from Ann Reeves that it is an authentic Sebenza from around 1989 and was the third one made as they were deciding on final design. The old design thumb stud is really fun. I have enclosed a couple of pictures of the knife and old time sheath. Thanks for your input.

Thats a beauty. I would say somewhere between $500 - $1000. If you have all paperwork, you might get more with a die-hard collector. The market is down a bit, so I dont see you getting over $1000. Heck, there was a "P" sebbie go on here for $300 last year sometime. I missed it because I was not that familiar with all the sebbies made at the time. A goof on my part for sure. But I have seen them go for $500 + on highfeesbay

Nice see the old school stuff. I think over the $500 mark for sure and depending what paperwork you have too.

Very nice.

Without trying to be witty at all, whatever someone will pay. If you had two bidders who really wanted the knife, the sky's the limit, probably, because it's so unique. That's a very beautiful knife, and very unique.

My guess, with all the sebenza collector's out there, you could probably put it up way over a $1000 and just wait it out. someone will pay eventually.
If a dude pays over $1000 for mammoth inlays or damascus stuff or even an umnum prototype, why shouldn't they lay down 1k?

But then, I'm not an expert on those old things :)

I dont know what it is worth but DAMN that is one sweet knife! I would easily pay $1000 dollars for that blade including the paperwork and I had the money! It is the oldest one I have seen. I would keep it if I were you. Not many of those around!

As JNewell said the skys the limit. It would be a bidding war of sorts.

I would certainly say at least $1500-$2000.If someone called CRK and Chris

was able to see the pics posted here he could give an accurate estimate.

Unless you are in desperate need of money, keep it. It is definitely unique, if you sell it the money will soon be gone and so will the knife.
