Hello I have a gov tac and was wanting to know would a koa bush camp be better for a hard use knife for survival? I like the handle and the guard of the gov tac very comfortable and secure feeling. However I was wondering if the one piece design if the bush camp would be stronger than the way the gov tac is put together. Both have a six inch blade and both in aus 8 but the koa can be had in d2. I only want the aus8 version though. What do you think for use in urban survival for food prep, cutting rope, straps, cloth, processing meat and self defense.

I think you'll be doing allright with what you have. The Koa won't make much of a difference.
