What do you use to strip the paint off of BM pocket clips?

Hey all! Just got some new silver split arrows in the mail courtesy of Benchmade! They replaced the basic clips that come on Griptilians. Now what I want to know is what stripper do I use to strip the paint off of the old ones? Id like to strip off the paint and polish them. I read somewhere that Jasco Premium Paint and Epoxy Remover will have my clips totally stripped and clear of any paint in just a few minutes. Before I run off to Home Depot I wanted to get a couple more opinions. Any help would be awesome

I just soaked mine in regular paint thinner and then hit it with some sand paper. Just make sure you either finish it with extra fine sand paper or you can run the sand paper in one direction to give it a brushed look.

I just used laquer thinner and 0000 steel wool. I wanted it to look like it had just worn off over time... I didn't spend much time on it because the knife already has other character issues

Alright! Jasco Premium Paint and Epoxy Remover plus steel wool equals a nice unpainted steel Benchmade clip!!!

I just used sand paper. Don't remember the grit. Paint stripper will work fine as you found out. I have stripped an Esee with the stuff. Worked fine.

I just use my Dremel and polish the paint right off. Gives the clip a nice worn look.

I think that turned out quite well!I am a big fan of fine steel wool for polishing too.

If you want the best there is (at least at a consumer level), look for aircraft paint stripper. I regularly by that at the local O'Reilly Autoparts, and they have both a spray and a paint-on version. I forget the brand at the moment, but I believe it's the one with the C-17 on the label. Which is almost reason alone to by the stuff...
In any event, it'll take the paint right off, with no need to sand or scrape. The one caveat, being that I haven't the first clue what BM uses to coat those parts, is if it's some form of powder-coat, then all bets are off. But if it's just an enamel paint, you're good to go.
