What do you use your balisong for?

We all have many different walks of life. We all have many different uses for our balisongs. What do you use your balisong for?

I use my balisong for martial arts purposes. I do not use my knife for any kind of combat training. I use it for the openings, the closings, and all of the great twirls.

I also use it for opening boxes at work.

Oh, I try to use it as often as I can. I use it when cooking (like cutting chiabatta, and such. I use "real" knives when preparing meat and stuff). I just used it to cut a pizza into slices and cutting a packet of icecream in two halves. Generally, whenever I try opening plastic wrapping or whatever I pull the balisong as soon as I experience the slightest difficulty opening it with my bare hands. But I tend to keep it out of sight whenever someone else is around, not wanting to "freak them out".

Otherwise I spend quite some time flipping it in my room. I find it to be quite relaxing.

Manipulation mainly, small cutting when necessary but it's not a habit.

Usually I just use it to keep me occupied. Like while I'm waiting to load up my computer or on those weekend duty days( hence four cuts on one hand from yesterday). I also use it for all type of cutting chores usually small stuff like opening boxes and the like. I also carry it for self defense backup/backup. If I can't beat them with my hands and foot, then my neck knife comes into play and if that isn''t an option then the bali does.

I use mine when I am threatened. A lot of people will back off when they see them. If I really think I will be fighting I use my KaBar though.
 
I mainly use mine for relaxation and entertainment. If I am in the house, it is usually in my hand. I flip while watching TV, and listening to the radio for example. I sometimes carry it with me just in case I get bored, then I will have something to do.

The most action the blade sees is opening letters (daily) and a few boxes here and there.

Mostly manipulations... but I open a few regular mails... (I've had some difficulties opening e-mails with 'em though

Mainly just manipulations for fun. I normally use other knives for opening stuff simply cause that's what I normally have clipped to my pockets and I have more folders than balisongs.
