What do *you* use your Hawk for?

OK, my wife is drooling, too. (She's a very cool lady, and shoots better than I do!) Besides hacking up bad guys (a relatively rare occurance in Central Texas), breaching buildings and rescuing neighbors and friends from burning cars, what uses have you found for your Hawk?

We buy our firewood cut and we don't cut much brush. Instinctively, we can recognize that a Hawk would be good to have in the fender-well of our Avalanche. What might we do with it besides emplacing and removing the stakes for our EZ-Up shelter, though?

I think she'll get one for her birthday in November, but it would be nice to have an idea in advance of what we'll find to do with it. Throwing it looks pretty appealing, of course.... There's more to it than being an expensive toy, I just don't know how to articulate it.

Cheers and beers,
Peyton

With the VT hawk, the only reason I needed to buy it was -I didn't have one.;)

The reason I bought one more was because I needed a matching set. The Vietnam Field grade was bought (2nd hand) because it was one of the early (2001) editions and it is not currently being offered anymore.

The reason I have kept them all is simple, when I hold the Tomahawk I see the perfect balance between the past and the present. The age old tomahawk redesigned for today's warrior. I see the tomahawk head which is virtually identical to the ones carried by soldiers in SE Asia 30+ years ago and a haft made from a new age polymer. I see a tool, one that is reminder that the same hawk, is keeping a solider safe a half a world away. When it is in my hand it reminds that a brave soul somewhere someone is tightening up on the cross-checker grip with a confidence that only a those who have held one can know.

That’s all the reason you should need.
Plus, I could have bought a few other brands but why buy a weapon that was used originally to kill communists, from a communist?
