What do you use your Mules for?

I got the Elmax with Halpern slim scales and a kydex sheath and I kind of forgot about for a little while

I'm not sure if I should use it or sell it (since I haven't needed to use it yet). Do you use yours for food prep or outdoor use or something else?

I cord wrap one of each new release and drop it in the cardboard and duct tape sheath made to fit in the ruler pocket of my carpenter jeans, then carry it for work. It gets used for everything - drywall, vinyl tile, rubber cove base, caulk removal, whatever I need to do. Elmax has not really impressed me, I'm about ready to switch back to Cruware.

I like the Elmax mule. It takes a fine edge fairly easily, and holds pretty well. Compared to something like S30V, which seems to lose its fine edge quickly but then hold a working edge for a long time, Elmax seems to degrade much more linearly. So far, I'd compare it favorably to CTS-XHP.

I use mine for food prep a lot--mostly just because. The finger guard gets in the way when using the knife on a cutting board though.

Since I don't have a Cru Wear mule, I can't really make a comparison between the two. How are you liking Cru Wear Yablanowitz?

So far, I rate the Cruware up there with S90V for what I do.

I use them for general outdoor use. Cleaning animals, camping chores, food prep, etc.
