What do you use your Spyderco Resilience for?

Just trying to get an idea of what people use their resilience for, because I've realized I only use it for food prep because the blade is too big for EDC (personal opinion and legal reasons) and the blade doesn't really go into handle that much (compared to the ontario rat 1 which has a mixed sized "tang")

And as I've bought more and more knives and learned more about them, the blade shape is hard to use in most applications (IMO) and the handle is nice, but for me, there's only really one way to hold it comfortably.

Does anyone use this for anything other than food prep??

I can't say I carry it regularly as an EDC these days but had no problems doing so in the past and would not hesitate to do so again. It is good for food prep, like you said, and makes a fine steak knife since I only have cheap steak knives. ;)

I bought it specifically as a folding kitchen knife to be used at my buddies cabin in maine, where all the kitchen knives are terrible.

Long flat ground blades excel.at food prep, and the length gives it tactical capabilities. Other than that I like smaller blades for most other edc tasks as they give more control and leverage.

Sounds like the place all kitchen knives go to die. ;)

In all seriousness I gotta give a shout out to Rada knives... bought a great chef's knife a couple of months back and they're great, light, sharp, and made in my home state! It was a pleasant surprise.
