What is most important to you in a knife auction? There a few out there, and everyone has its faults, or is lacking something..Does anyone want a site that has only knives, no B.S. Knuckles and Rings and Questionable stuff..Also would anyone besides Tizzy, like a clause that if you receive too many legitimate bad feedback you will be suspended..Please give me some info..I am Start a first class Auction site and Will be spending some big $$ to do so..I want to make it right....Rich

Best prices delivered with a wide range of choices. Responsive to questions. Ability to e-mail a web page showing a good deal to my friends.
Get your site to come up on first page of Google. Good luck!

Oops, you said auction, my bad. No hidden reserve price (start it at a few bucks and PRAY!) Post good pictures (a couple different angles and a close up) of the exact knife auctioned, don't show generic manufacturers pic. Detailed description. Responsive to questions. Don't try to get rich on shipping, be fair, and get the shipment off quickly. Offer a shipping discount for multiple purchases. I like the convenience of paying with Paypal, quick and easy (don't ask them to cover your Paypal cost). Post a good feedback when you know the money's banked. Make sure your auctions can be e-mailed, I run into a lot of auctions I'm not interested in but friends of mine might be..."word of mouth" is powerful. Maybe have a link to a little e-side store where people could by your wares at a set, "buy it now" type price. Some people don't want to wait 7 days and then lose, so they'll pay a couple bucks more to get it on the spot. Good luck!

Thanks for the well wishes..I currently want just about all you mentioned in a knife auction..Some things, you can't avoid, like crappy descriptions..Some people are not as bright as others..But as far as offering E-STOREs off of the Auction..that is a possibility..I am checking more into that..Honesty will be a policing thing on my part..I know who the dirtbags are, I will keep them in line..Thanks for the response.. www.bladebid.com Thanks, Rich

A good search function is very valuable, and keeping a history of ALL past sales is very helpfull to act as a bluebook. I do not mind having other items besides blades, as long as it is "tactically" related. Nothing worse than punching up Bagwell Hells Belle in a search function and having 30,000 items come up where 29,999 are t-shirts,CD's, and action figures. Gotta have Paypal, seller has to ship within a couple days of receiving the money, and as mentioned earlier only charge actual shipping and insurance charges. Be great to have a section for knife maker supplies also, and giveaways, and free drinks, and bikini models, and...it's getting too late, good luck!

How about finding a good alternate online payment service that is as good as, but cheaper than Paypal?
