What does "617" mean on the blade of my starmate?

Hello Folks,

I have a spyderco starmate, love it vey much, especially the sound it makes when opening and the adjustable pivot to prevent wear.
But I never heard of numbered Starmate, or series or something.
Still mine has 617 on the blade.
If this is a serie, what HRC is the blade at? I don't wanna try it out myself.
Does it add to the price of the knife?
Can you get more info on it via the number?
