I have a Small Classic 2000 knife with a 2007 Birth Date and S30v steel. When I took it apart to clean and grease I noticed a "C" stamped on the blade. What does the "C" signify? I was expecting a "V" or "S".

Thanks!

Mostly Yes. I have seen classics that were BG-42 though. I am unsure if their markings. I am thinking a classic unmarked would be BG-42, while the "C" would be S30V.

I have three small Classics - I will have to break down the other two and see.

It's possible a "S" is a replacement blade....??? I will have to check the few I have
