What does a Ferric Chloride dip do to S30V?

Im considering dipping an S30V blade in ferric chloride to give it a darker acid etch. I have done this successfully to darken tool steel like K390. It works easily on tool steel and reacts quickly. I'm curious how a good stainless steel will take the ferric chloride. Should I be using something else? Any help or experience would be great.

Used it many times. Works fine.
Spyderco PM2, Benchmade Loco full size, few others I can't remember atm
