What does a RAT-7 with blue denim micarta handles and convex edge look like?

It is a RAT knife so I felt like posting it in their own forum. I thought that you guys in MT&E could be interested as well.

Check it out!

Thanks for watching.

Very nice! good job on the home made micarta, what kind of press did you use?

I am glad you like it. I used just five C clamps. Well, not exactly C clamps but they work the same way. Mine are longer but I am affraid, weaker as well. I tigthened as much as I could by hand and nothing broke though...
I didn't get resin pockets at all so I guess it was enough. Knifemakers with propper equipment are known for using a press with tons of presure... I bet that gives you a final slab which is thinner and has less resin content in it.

PD: Did you notice that I convexed the edge just like you told me long ago? (first knocking the shoulders of the factory bevel with a stone and then going at it with the mousepad-sandpaper combo). Thanks for the advice!
