What does ASP stand for?

Not sure where Andy pulled the name from. I just assumed it's ref a Snake.

im not sure it necessarily sure it stands for anything.
here is it's description on out website

The Asp is a 4" bladed and 4.5" handled fighter. It's pointy see... Truth be told, Andy has been carrying his around to mostly open boxes, but the knife definitely wants to thrust. This is one of the three new models based on the Sneaky Pete.

I think of an asp as a type of snake - and given the design of the knife, I can see it as a 'biter'

Interesting, I did not know ASP is a word for venomous snake. Most commonly the Egyptian Cobra. But the Forge website did say it was one of the three models of Sneaky Pete. Very clever naming by Andy.

I think Andy just wanted to see people say "nice Asp", "I'll take that Asp", etc...

While that catepillar is wicked, the Asp was named after the snake that took Cleopatra's life. Although, I like Willic's idea too. LOL.

Look at that Asp!

"Asp" is the modern Anglicisation of the word "aspis," which in antiquity referred to any one of several venomous snake species found in the Nile region. It is believed that the aspis referred to in Egyptian mythology is the modern Egyptian cobra.

Ain't the first time I've been told that!
