What does E.S.E.E mean?

The RAT firestarter kit I have has E S E E on the logo. I looked the letters up on the internet, and it appears to mean the European Society for Ecological Economics. Or maybe the Egyptian Society for Earthquake Engineering.

Either group might find a firestarter useful, but the little skull drawing between the letters on the firestarter handle doesn't appear on either site, so I am at a loss.

There's a lot of acronyms to keep up with here. Could the ESEE be part of the R.A.T. acronym? RATESEE?

The short story is we screwed up and used someone else's trademark. SERE belongs to Al Mar. It was a mistake because we thought SERE was in the public domain. Luckily Gary Fadden is a good friend of ours so I immediately called him when we realized what we had done. All is well. We changed the name on the knife due to this. The Fire Kit is not covered under that particular trademark's goods and services but we decided to change it to fit the RC-5 logo. Trust me, after this past year of battling for our own intellectual property, the last thing we would ever do is attempt to take someone else's. Al Mar are good people and I consider Gary one of the best friends I have in this industry.
