What does Fallkniven make the U-2 handle out of?

Mine is going on 2 years now with frequent carry and constant carry for the past 2-3 months and that handle shows NO wear. It's in a pocket with change and has a SAK Classic chained to its end for the toothpick, tweezer and file. The ..blade... shows wear from contact, but that HANDLE shows NO wear or abrasion. Just like new.
I would expect the light texturing to show SOME wear, but ...nope. The finish has some sort of "sparkle" to it. Is that something that prevents wear?

actually, there's even a Delica in that pocket banging up against it.

Fallkniven is run by Vikings. I think the knife handles are made from old drinking horns from Valhalla, that no longer wedge onto the helmets because of the stress of daily combat.

Zytel has proven to be a good handle material on light knives in my experiance.

I have on old Gerber Bolt-Action that has seen plenty of pocket time (as well as drops, etc.) and it looks/feels about like new.

I had TK4 for a year with the same zytel handle - very nice material IMO - light, tough and it`s easy to sand it to perfection. TK4 and U2, in their categories, are among the lightest and toughest knives ever made. It`s a pleasure to carry them.
