what does LDC mean?

I see a lot of custom makers calling certain knife models LDC-xx.
Does LDC stand for something I'm not privy to yet? Like CQC-x?

CQC = Close Quarters Combat...

LDC = Long Distance Combat?? LOL I don't know..

Line of Departure/Control. I've got one of the first sets of Tactical 10 that Les and ten other custom knife makers put out. These knives are VERY NICE customs!
 
It's an Army term - Line of Departure/Line of Control. Les decided to go with LDC rather than LD/LC for that line of knives. I did a folder and a fixed blade during that series.
