What does Spyderco make in a Ti frame-lock that's smaller than the Millie?

Other than the Sage 2 of course. Anything Para sized? I can't find anything, but I don't know too much about the older models.

Would love to find something Superleaf or Para sized - not really looking for the pocket-swords that the Millie/Police tend to be - I don't have large hands, so these knives always seem way to big for what I need.

The only other Ti framelock that Spyderco offers (that I can think of) is the Leafstorm.

Sage2 and Leafstorm are the only non Military Ti framelocks available I think. I'd also like to see some more frame lock designs. Lum Chinese would be nice ;)

The Chokwe is another. Its blade is only slightly shorter than the Millie's (3.75" vs. 4"), but the overall length of the knife is significantly less because it has a much shorter handle.

I bought a Chokwe frame lock and it was tough to release the blade to close the knife after flicking it open rather fast. it worked fine when I opened and closed it with slower speed. I thought it was a design issue so I returned it. The Spyderco lock backs and liner locks work fine when snapped open.

When you open your knife with such force that the tang bounces off the stop pin and then slams into the Ti slab it creates problems over time. You can dent stop pins and then any precision used in the lock mating surfaces is lost, not to mention the damage to the Ti surface itself. It happens in a fraction of a second and it's practically impossible to catch with teh naked eye. I do not own a Chokwe but I do own about a dozen or so RIL knives and everytime I've had any issue with a new knife a slight adjustment of the pivot always seems to work. It's better to try and use finesse rather than brute force to resolve problems when it comes to precision cutting tools.
$.02 ;)

I would love to see a Ti Lum Chinese with a frame-lock. I was even going to start to research who would be able to do a framelock conversion for the Ti Lum.

I think you're looking for the Chokwe. It's Endura sized in length, but is a bit more compact, so it feels only slightly larger than say a Para 2 or Stretch.

It's also the finest Ti Integral Lock knife I've ever had. It's smoothness is unparalleled and the build quality, at least in my example, goes above and beyond even for the Spyderco Taiwan standards, which are extremely high. Plus, I love the thin blade...it slices and stabs like a mofo!

Hopefully we will see the Techno some time early next year.

I forgot about the Chokwe. I had also managed to forget about the upcoming Techno - good info from this sub-forum once again.

Thanks fellas.

Second to the Hinderer XM-18, my Chokwe is one of the smoothest RIL frame lock I own. It equals any of the CRKs in my stable.
