The logo is his Chinese "chop" (stamp). I think it is his name or initials in Chinese. Hope this helps

Hello Dennis, hello Dexter, I have read the same thing. The Chinese symbols represent Al Mars name ( actually I think it is more than just his name that it represents, if I remember correctly it has spiritual overtones) Well thats my take. Ya'll have a nice day now, hear.

Thanks,
Art Sigmon

Its Al Mar's Chinese name written in ancient style "seal script" This script is often used in "chops" which function like signitures. The characters I think are R to L:

Ma Guo Sun (at least I think its "Sun")

"Ma" (or "Mar" in Cantonese--a southern chinese dialect) is a common surname meaning "horse" (far right character on logo/chop)

"Guo" (not sure what the Cantonese is) means
"country" and is sort of a middle or generation name (ie all his siblings may have that as a middle name too so that people can identify that generation in the family--upper left character on logo/chop)

Not sure what that "Sun" character means or if it even really is a "Sun" character but its sort of the first name. Its not the equivalent of "Al" though (Lower left character)

A lot of Chinese-Americans have both American and Chinese names that may or may not have anything to do w/each other meaning wise.

I didn't know Al Mar was a fellow yellow.

Interesting.

Left down character stands for "woods" or "forest". Ritht "Ma" is last name, and left two characters is his first name, reading from top to down.
I don't think all of "Alfred Clark Mar" is represented on the stamp except "Mar".
