I'm sure you all know what the "B" means, so I want to know too.
P.S. I just got my first Sebenza! At first I didn't see what you guys were talking about, but after I week, I love the taste of the Kool-Aid!

A= Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr
B= May, Jun, Jul, Aug
C= Sep, Oct, Nov Dec

The Letters signify the quarter made, the 05 is the year.

I have seen some, I have one I believe without going through all my sebbie's where one side says A05 and other slab says B05, not sure of the date, thats just an example. Just a left over slab from a previous quarter. The slabs that are Perfectly Flat are engraved. The ones where they may not be perfectly flat or where the titanium is cloudy are the plain blasted over ones. Thats why engraving options are limited on regular knives unless you purchase a slab seperatly........I see I rambled on........Oh well, now you know even more about the sebenza......Enjoy !

This is what I've heard, but the factory must shut down from July on because it seams like nobody has a "C" or "D" (heard of lots of A and B, never seen a single C or D).

I'm inclined to believe it is in reference to the CNC machine or fixture they were built on. That would show why some people have two A's, two B's, or an A and B.

Hi

My large regular has " C 06" on it. ;)

I'm still sticking with my theory. As a machinist, I see a lot of tool/fixture wear in a week, let alone a few months! I don't understand any benifit of why CRK would mate two handles made months apart. If the letter does designate quarters, then we should see handles with "B 05" and "A 06", anyone got handles with two different years on them?

It looks like they added a third fixture or CNC machine designated "C" a few years back (if my theory is true).

I have a small graphic sebbie with a birthdate of June 18th, both slabs say "A 02". Both slabs were leftovers then, or could this be a factor of them being set aside due to the graphics work and taking longer to actually be "born"?
