Question What does the "reaction score " mean exactly ? Just the total of reactions received ?

Sometimes I give a "sad" or "angry" reaction that is not intended to be negative to the poster per se ; but rather only the subject matter of the post / topic .

IDK if that's the correct way to use the reaction feature , or not .

Is the "reaction " about the poster / post itself or what is being talked about in the post ?

About the post is the way I see it.
Had a frowny face in my reactions and wondered why until I looked at my post, think it was a broken blade or something and the member that left it was feeling my pain probably.🤷‍♂️

Exactly my confusion . I guess I've done both ,but wondered what the general understanding was .

It just seems a bit weird , if say: someone died and the post is a notice of arrangements .

Unless you openly hated the person , if you "like " , "love" , or "laugh " ... isn't that kinda strange ?

Same with all the threads about cutting yourself , or losing a knife etc.

That's what the "sad" :( emoji is for.

I kinda wish there were an "eye-roll" 😒 reaction option.

I just checked. I have today ~64k reactions, among them 22 angry ones. Of those angry ones - I'm fairly confident - only 3 are about me, the other 19 are about the subject matter, and people agreeing with me, I guess. And the 3 about me personally were given when I talked about modern "Wharncliffe" blades on the porch ... Learned my lesson though :)

So it depends.

Sometimes, it would be nice to post multiple reactions.

True.

The "like" is the default and "sad" and others take a couple extra steps to input.

I generally assume that a "like" for those types of posts equate to condolences and are not intended as rude.

A laugh or love would be a different matter.
