Hey guys I was going over the new 25 I recieved the other day:thumbup: and I noticed the stop pin sleeve doesn't have the dust grooves like on the 21's I have. Heres the thing should it have them or does it need them? I've seen BBQboys vid and a few other ones, they seem to have the grooves  Should my 25 have them?

Mine doesn't have the grooves, its from the most recent run of 25's.
Maybe it was just the first run versions????

mine too one of the 30s but mine also has a cut in it to make room for the blade or something so its not all round :)

Mine is from the 2nd run, all round no flat spot I can see and no gooves. I've been trying to break it in a little cuz it has a minor amount of lock stick but damn this detent is strong!! My thumb is toast:eek: and I'm a const. worker so my hands and thumbs aren't weak or anything.

First 30 and isnt all round either. kinda ingenious design to allow everything to fit perfectly and flow perfectly.

I think we need a side by side comparison of the first 30 to these recent ones.

Same here, with grooves and flat spot.
I'd really like to see a comparison pivot the two runs, I already noticed differences in theanyard cut out between mine and a another from the first 30.

Maybe I'm just not seeing the flat spot cuz I haven't taken it down. Interesting how us nuts observe these little changes thatare made during the first few batches:)

A "minor amount" of lock stick and your construction worker thumb is "toast"?

Ouch -- anyone else have a 25 with a sticky lock?

Smooth as glass here.

Something must not be right with yours as the ceramic ball makes it almost impossible to stick.

Maybe theres some glue or sticky residue on the lockface? Take some isopropyl alcohol and a qtip and wipe away at the lockface see if that does anything.

Mine was a two hand knife until I adjusted the pivot ever so slightly. It was so tough to open that I almost sold the knife, couldn't be happier with it now though.
Try adjusting your pivot and go from there, good luck.

I'm still waiting for a 25 and I'm surprised to hear these tough-to-open stories.

One of the virtues of the 21 series is that no matter how you adjust the pivot, they are easy to open.

I adjusted the pivot and it helped with stiffness but I can't get over the sticky lock, might call CRK and see what they recommend. Damn I didn't want to have to send her in but sometimes its for the best.

Thanks SteelAddiction for that tip thumbup: I cleaned up the lockface and adjusted the pivot more and wallah we have a proper functioning CRK, couldn't be happier now. And my Stop pin does have the flatspot its just hard to see with he knife still assembled. I'm truly loving this blade, it might be the one:eek:
