What does this button do?

1.On the bottom of a post to the right there are buttons for "reply" , "reply with Quote", and then a symbol to the far right.. What is that?thanks.

Multi-quote. If you click that button on a post, and click on Reply With Quote, it'll quote both posts automatically.
