I'm confused I have a pearl duck double duck, it says satin wedge with a w.not edge what's the deal with that

I think a Pearl Duck Double Duck is a razor, right? You may well get your answer here, but there is a dedicated subforum for razors which may work better for you.

If I had to guess wedge refers to the shape of the cross section?

Yeah, a wedge means it's not got much hollow in the blade profile. There are degrees of wedge also. ½ hollow, ¼ hollow, full wedge, etc. A full wedge is basically like a triangle shape with around 16°-18° included angle at the acute end (when viewed from the end of the blade).
