Just recieved my CF Mil M390 and it has a 167V next to the Spyderco logo, just wondering what this meant? thanks and thanks to Mike at New Graham knives.

It is a collector club number. Everytime a new knife comes out 200 of them are reserved for members of the Spyderco Collectors Club. The V means that it is a variant. Your knife belonged to collector number 167, Variant of the original C36 Military. There is more information is available on the web, you have to search for it.

Ironically, it probably means the knife is a better user than collector knife, though opinions differ on that one.

It's a super secret serial number...The "V" stands for "Very Special" and the number is the amount of special involved in the making of your knife...yours 167 times special.

Nah, it's a collector club number, as mentioned before. Good find on that one...M390's a great steel.
