I've seen it on multiple models, some have them and some don't. Does this signify anything?

Think it's an ID for the blade coating. Sure someone will be along shortly to correct that impression if it's wrong.

In the Materials section of the Benchmade website there's a ton of good information but not on this matter?! In there I'd personally like to see more images/graphics and/or examples for each subcategory mentioned.

Since no one answered this; the 'BK' mark Is for the corrosion resistant powder coating applied to the blade.

Nothing like buying a truckload of knives and finding out first hand.

Of the major production knife manufacturers Benchmade has the most informative website with lots of pertinent information and drilled-down search functions. Even they can improve and my comment was as a means of feedback to them. In some cases they cite examples but skip in others where it would help. The more easily navigated and detailed information a website has the more customer friendly it is. At least for those willing to get answers on their own.
