What does your screen name mean?

5.56

My favorite rifle caliber, high velocity, deadly accurate

Adopted by the US military for it's primary weapon, the black rifle or M16/M4

I own several weapons chambered in 5.56

My initials and a cat I had named Tom. Sadly, he had to be put to sleep a few months ago. It will be my first Christmas without him in 15 years. I know he's in a better place though. Miss you ole buddy! Merry Christmas!

Just noticed you started this in the wrong forum. Might get moved to community. -DT

Means "leaf of yuzu" (a Japanses citrus fruit with a unique flavor that some vaugely describe as being a cross between a lime and grapefruit with a touch of mandarin). It is used in making ponzu sauce, salad dressing, juices and cooking as well as a scent in cosmetics. I love the juice on baked chicken and grilled fish. A Japanese pen pal named me that. My usual avatar (at places like KF etc.) is an anime character also called yuzuha but spelled with different character that must make nonsense (reason, box and leaf)

My name has a fairly simple and straightforward explanation:

It has been hypothesized that strangelets (sub-stellar agglomerations of strange matter) may be able to exist independently from the quark stars which created them. If so, there may be many strangelets in this universe, a possible explanation for the dark matter problem. Since strangelets maintain such deep gravity wells for objects of their size, calculations show that strangelets coming in contact with ordinary matter would overwhelm this matter with their gravitational fields, breaking down the ordinary matter into strange matter. If strangelets exist and keep coming into contact with ordinary matter indefinitely, it may be only a matter of time (albeit a cosmologically long duration of time) before strangelets swallow all the conventional matter in the universe.

knarf is my first name backwards. I used to use it when I was a DJ in college.
eng is a reference to my job as an engineer.

It sounds less geeky than "engineer-Frank", but that's what it means.

My name has a fairly simple and straightforward explanation: it's my Hebrew name.

It has been hypothesized that portions of the Australian continent distant from urban conglomerations have already been absorbed by dark matter. Its density is apparent in the internet communications originating from those areas.

Beluga... hm possibly the ugliest fish ever lived, but the caviar is heavenly.

It doesn't really matter if your knives look ugly, as long as they are service-able.

Truth be told, I didn't put too much thought into my screen name when I made it. :D

Paua is the New Zealand Māori name given to marine gastropod molluscs known in the USA as abalone and in the UK as ormer shells. I use this name to show people that I am a Kiwi who like to sit there doing nothing.
