Hi, this is my first thread on Bladeforums...
Anyhoo, I was looking around on ebay the other day and I saw this knife and I was wondering if any of you guys would be able to help me with identification.

url removed due to ongoing auction...

Thanks!

Never seen a Dozier just like that. Looks like a neck knife. Doubt one that old had a model name.

You may want to take the link down since the auction is still open(BF rules).

Most people probably know Dozier from his knives sold through A.G. Russell and since. Most of these knives are intended for users and not collectors, but before that he did make knives with polished blades, stag handles, the whole bit. I bought one on ebay many years ago when I was buying a few custom hunters. I took it to a show one time to see if Bob could tell me anything about it. Turns out he liked that style and was sorry that he did not have one anymore. He had photos of it in a photo album that he carried with him. I didn't have a big attachment to the knife so I traded it to him for a couple off of his table, basically for the exact amount of money that I had in the knife. We never discussed what the knife was worth but I gathered that he would have allowed me more money in trade. I just didn't feel right doing that. I ended up with handmade samples of a couple of knives that he planned to put into production and I paid him a little difference between his price for those 2 knives and what I paid for the older one.
