Most my blades look like #2 and #6

1. Hollow grind
2. Full flat grind
3. Scandi grind
4. Chisel grind
5. saber grind
6. Convex grind

Depends on the knife's intended use.
I have a scandi ground Nessmuk, not the usual grind on a Nessie from Fiddleback, but it can take a bite out of some wood.
I like convex blades for cutting/slicing tasks. I love all my Barkies, I can strop them back to razor sharp very well.
I've got some with hollow ground, don't know what I think about those yet. My Ka-Bar Culass Machete is hollow ground, sharp, cuts deep into wood. Yet, I worry about it's strength. I don't think I would order a large blade with a hollow grind again.

Almost always 2 of course, it's generally the most efficient blade grind.
Not as fragile as a hollow grind, not as fat as a convex grind.

I've never seen a full flat grind like the one shown. Every one has had a secondary bevel. Not saying they don't exist, just saying that's not the common grind.

As long as it's sharp, it's negligible to me, each have their place and advantages for their respective situations. If forced to choose, 2.

What is the blade geometry and what's the intended purpose for the knife.

Kitchen knives I like a hollow grind.

Small pocket knives, full flat grind.

HD work knife, Scandi grind.

HD chopper, Saber grind.

Camp knife, Convex grind

SD knife, Chisel grind.

These are not carved in stone, they're just generalizations.

can't pick between FFG, Hollow ground, or scandi.

can't see much of a useable difference in FFG and HG. Some can be ground with super thin edges, others with thicker edges. I often prefer the appearance of a tasteful hollow grind, but the same with FFG. So it's still dependent on the actual knife. Scandi is different in that you immediately notice the difference working with wood, and is mindlessly easy to sharpen. So love it for an outdoors/woodworking knife.

have never had a nice knife with a good chisel edge, but I have a feeling I'd enjoy it. same with a nice, full convex knife.

Lately it has been 6 (Varied Convex) if I have enough meat on the bone to modify it.

They are all good for different things.

I'm slowly starting to see the light of a good chisel grind all around though. But a hollow grind makes for one heck of a good slicing EDC.
