I'm thinking of starting a small collection of US gold coins. Right now it's just a "thinking of"... ;)

Busse sheaths, but only because they come with the knives. :D
I do have a small collection of different figurines, some glass, some stone, some wood, a few crystal, and a few decorative rocks in there too. I only have about 20, and I don't actively collect them as much as acquire from time to time. All different shapes, but mostly animals, turtles, elephants, a cat, a snail, a few other things too.

canes/walking sticks, used to collect hand guns but got too expensive. Those darn things cost almost as much as my knives!!!:D

I also have an interest in, and small collections of:
- vintage home computers.
- my Grandfather's small collection of Zane Grey hardcover storybooks
- looking in the driveway, you might think I collect motorcycles, but two of them are wife's

My daughter says that I collect collections, but that's because over the years I have accumulated certain things, like I have lots of: referee whistles, harmonicas, wine glasses and corkscrews.

I had the walls of my cubicle at work covered with wine labels that I had accumulated over the years (I drink a glass of wine a day), but I just retired so I took them off and threw them away, I have a large bag full of wine bottle corks, still thinking that some day I'll do something with them, I also have a bag full of cigar rings despite having saved only a few compared to how many cigars I have smoked (one, sometimes two a day for over 30 years).

I used to collect comic books. X-Men, Frank Miller era Daredevil. I still have some in a box but I haven't picked up any new titles in years.

I'm slowly getting a collection of anime. Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll, Akira, Princess Mononoke and some others. Some of the best I've seen come in pricey boxed sets, like Last Exile and Evangelion.

And while not a collection, I've got a '65 VW Baja Bug that has taken up her fair share of my time and money.

More like accumulate:

Underground comic books from the mid '70's until now.
Weapons in general
Tools:D
Books
Pocket lint.
LP's

Best Regards,

Any extracurricular collections would most likely interfere with my knife collecting.

Everything,...... knives, guns, flashlights, lighters, antiques, cars, motorcycles, toys, games, cameras, shot glasses, hot wheels, cannons, books, tools, canes, skulls, kites, music, stoves, clocks, radios, movies, friends bills:rolleyes: I accumulate everything, that's the down side to having a 2 story 180' X 38' garage..

They say if you have 3 or more of anything it's a collection.

I collect knife makers signatures, when I buy from them I always have them sign the back of their business card. I also have a copy of Blade magazine with Phil Boguszewski's signature on the inside cover.

foreign coins ...been collecting since i was a child.
bicycles... i actually own more bikes than knives if you throw in the kids bikes
books...primarily history (colonial america primarily) along with railroad books and theology
n scale trains

Guns---lots of guns------flashlights---knives----tools---and for some odd reason---I looked around the place and realized I had like 20 tool boxes----not all with tools actually in them.

Glad I'm not the only one depraved :)

1. Knives
2. Flash lights
3. Fishing reels
4. Wrist watches
5. Miniature chrystal characters
6. Gadgets
7. Music

Gold coins are very important if you want to have easily transportable worth. They can be carried/hidden in small spaces . Precious metal is head & shoulders ahead of paper promisory note money. Our money was ONCE backed by gold ,then silver & NOW backed by government promise. Gold cannot be devalued like money & is one of the best inflation hedges you can carry in your pocket. Jews fled Europe in the '30's when Hither took over . They carried gold & jewelry .
Jewelry is a risky item compared to gold. You really have to know a lot to be safe. Gold worth requires a look on the financial page .

Cutting short. Trip to VA clinic for flu shot !

I have a neat collection of various old and new bank notes. Collected out of interest my favourite is the 5 Burundi Frank note (1500 to your $), the 10 Naira Note (140 to your $), the 5 Zimbabwe Dollar note (100'000 to your $ and rising). Returning to the earlier comment about backed by gold and now only backed by governmental promise. You can see most goverments are liars, ten years back the 5 Zim Dollars was a beer.
