I figure there are several more like me out there.......sorta scary my wife says........who have more than a single knife in there pocket's. So while this is a "what are you carrying" type thread, I'm curious what most of us carry and use as a second knife.

So to start things off;

primary knife- today it is an xl RF-1 framelock from JWS. Though I don't really use this knife very much I still love carrying it and it is very easy to carry even though it has an overall opened length of 9.25" John's fit, finish, and overall design just continues to amaze me.

secondary knife- now this can get interesting. I will always have what I term a "primary knife" in my right front pocket, RF-1 or LDC-5 at this point in time. I will also have another knife in my left hand pocket. This is usually a smaller knife and can vary between a small lockback to a two bladed slip joint. I actually have begun to prefer the two bladed slip joints. These knives come in REAL handy when you don't want to use a larger knife. I've had a few of these to rotate around and they include a Kershaw Scallion, Buck Prince, a small Boker razor w/pen blade, Leatherman Micra, and so on. I decided to try and find one that would do all the things I want a small slip joint to do and have been looking around for the past couple of weeks. Well I found it today. It is a Case XX 62032 small Texas Jack. It has two blades, one is a clip point and is 2.5" in length while the other is a pen blade and runs about 1.75" in length. Closed length is 3.5". It is double bolstered with cranberry colored handles, at least I think it is cranberry. Can't remember the numbering system that denotes handle material but will have to look it up. Anyway this knife rides very comfortably in my left front pocket. The blade material is chrome-vandium steel so a little extra care is required to prevent rust. Knife came sharp but not to my standards sharp but my 204 has taken care of that. Fit and finish is very good.

So there we be...............more of a review than a simple, "I carry a .........."

Oh yea, at times I do carry a third knife and usually carry it in my left rear pocket, right now that is a BM 710HS with the clip set up for left hand carry and I have been practing opening with my left hand. Thank goodness it is an axis ambi!:D

Lets hear it..........WHAT ELSE YOU GOT IN THAT POCKET!!!

Besides my primary EDC which will either be in my front-right pocket or on my belt I always carry one of the Leatherman tools. Generally it is a Micra in my change pocket but sometimes I will go with a Leatherman PST II on my belt. I aways carry a cell phone and a pen (lately a Waterman, but sometimes a Fisher space pen). And I keep a Photon Microlight on my keyring. I don't carry a lot of stuff. For self-defense I rely on being alert and staying out of dodgy looking situations.

BTW, a few months ago I had to do a "self rescue" and was able to test out my gear. I was trapped in a bathroom when the cheap doorknob failed (it would turn but wouldn't disengage the latch). I used my Micra to disassemble the doorknob mechanism until I was able to disengage the latch and escape. If that had failed I would have reluctantly used my knife to remove the door hinge pins. If that had failed I would have called a friend on my cell phone :D.

I love putting together knife combinations. I tend to do things a little backwards from most folks here. What I consider my primary knife is usually a multitool or SAK, just because I use them more. The other knife is chosen to supplement it, rather than vice versa. Here are some of my favorites:

Leatherman Wave + Benchmade 160 Tether Knife

Leatherman Juice S2 + Spyderco Rescue Jr

Victorinox Tinker + Spyderco Ladybug II

Victorinox Pioneer + Spyderco Rescue Jr

Well, Every day, I tend to carry:

Spyderco Delica
Spyderco Native, or Massad Ayoob
SAK Spartan
Wenger Executive
Queen Little Chipper
one of a few Various patterned slipjoints
Ingram Pocketknife

Soon to be joined by a Yurco Mini-claw, and Ingram Pocket Bowie.

along with my wallet and keys.

Tarsier you are probably more on the money than you gave yourself credit for. Actually my smaller knife will see more work day in and day out than what I term my primary carry knife.

Great matches fella's............keep 'em coming!

Leatherman Wave on my belt.
Spyderco of some kind (Salsa today)in my right front pocket.

SOG Powerlock replaced Leatherman Pulse which replaced Leatherman Supertool on the belt. Got to have a multitool. If all else fails, throw it at someone for self-defense :)

DDR EDC alternates with Mnandi in left shirt pocket, sometimes replaced by a Delta Z Pivot if I plan on using my shirt-pocket knife for rough work. Spyderco Lum Chinese and Ka-Bar Dozier Thorn also show up here from time to time.

Severtech replaced MOD CQD which replaced Buck/Strider as occasional carry in right rear pocket. This began as a habit for walks in the woods, keeping an indestructible knife handy. We do have bear and deer and, and ... omigod ... rabbits all over the area.

Spydie Massad Ayoob with clip removed in field jacket pocket. No, it's not for self-defense, I carry a walking stick for that :)

A nice horn handled Laguiole alternates with a Schrade stockman in jeans watch pocket -- the Ralph EDC fits there perfectly, too.

I don't need more knives. I need more pockets.

lately...

1. CRKT Large Grey Ghost Mirage. (Main Pocket)
2. CRKT Large Zytel Mirage or Ken Onion Scallion (Offside Pocket)
3. Victorinox Bantam 2 blade for small chores.

and of course my Spyderco Chinook is always in my daypack!

Spyderco Military and...

Spydie Navigator or Case Baby Butterbean

Ain't that the truth! :D :D

Forgetting about the significant part of my life that I waste wearing a suit and focusing on when I get to wear jeans:
Primary knife is usually my TNT, in the right front pocket. Occasionally this position is filled by a DDR small Apogee or Tom Anderson Wolfpup.

Secondary knife in the left front pocket is usually either a Whitewing Warlock or a Whitewing pearl lockback, but can be any of a number of Spyderco knives, a BM 705, or even a Queen swell center whittler in D2.

Then there's the watch pocket. Right now, my new Jason Jacks folder (carbon fiber with blue anodized Ti bolsters and S30V blade) fits there very nicely, as does my Jason Jacks Talonite mini-Raptor -- S30V for when my primary carry has a Stellite blade, Talonite for when the primary carry is S90V or BG-42. The watch pocket can also be home to the Queen D2 whittler, a Kershaw Chive, or any of a number of small Spydies.

Then, of course, there's neck carry. If I'm carrying all the rest, it's usually an R.W. Clark wharncliffe mini.

For whatever reason, I don't like to carry any knives in my back pockets.

DDR CF ArcLite in D2M. It's always around my neck. I like having a small knife that can do "big knife" chores in the event my main knife gets dull, broken, lost, etc. Sometimes, when off work, it is the main knife.
Also carry a Victorinox Recruit or LM Micra on the rare occasion (like today at church) there's not a multitool on my belt, and sometimes a OT Middleman when there is.
With a Wave for EDC, and a ST200 for work, those last three smaller knives really don't see that much carry or use.

I normally carry my small Sebenza backed up with a SAK Tinker. However, since the Seb is in the shop right now, I'm carrying a Delica with the Tinker and a MiniChamp. Just about covers all of my bases.

I always have my V-nox Pioneer (2 blade) on me. My "seconds" are either my CRK small Sebenza, small classic Sebenza, or A.G. Russell Featherweight One Hand Knife.

Leatherman Wave in EDC bag

Spyderco Delica and LM Micra in pockets.

Sometimes I swap the Micra for a Vic Supertinker.

2nd knife?! and leave out the 3rd, 4th and 5th?!

my 2nd knife is a Brusletto Balder, my 3rd is a vic camper, my forth is a vic cybertool 41, my 5th is my Mora 2k. oh yeah my first is my Spydie Native...

For work I carry a large flatground Sebenza in a knife pocket on the inside of my cargo pants pocket, a Leatherman Wave on my belt, a SAK classic with red LED on my keys, and finally a Utility key for the eyeglass screwdriver and bottle opener.

While I may have other fixed blades on my work vest or mounted on different packs depending on the task at hand, the pocket carry doesn't vary much at all.

I'll have my Benchmade 941D2CF in my right front pocket along with a Micra in a leather pocket sheath and an AL Mar cash clip. I'll usually (unless on an airplain or in an airport) have a Leatherman WAVE in my laptop bag as well.

If it's casual carry in jeans, I'll just replace teh 941D2CF with a Microtech SOCOM Elite. If it's cargo pants I'll have the Socom E in my right front pocket with the Micra and the 941D2CF clipped to one of the cargo pockets.

Throw in a Surefire E2E and a folded bandana and I'm good to go.

Today was a Beretta folder and a Wenger SAK (same set-up as Vic Tinker, but cant remember Wenger name).

It varies from day to day, but usually some model of SAK and a small keychain model also (usually a Broker).
