I figure there are several more like me out there.......sorta scary my wife says........who have more than a single knife in there pocket's. So while this is a "what are you carrying" type thread, I'm curious what most of us carry and use as a second knife.
So to start things off;
primary knife- today it is an xl RF-1 framelock from JWS. Though I don't really use this knife very much I still love carrying it and it is very easy to carry even though it has an overall opened length of 9.25" John's fit, finish, and overall design just continues to amaze me.
secondary knife- now this can get interesting. I will always have what I term a "primary knife" in my right front pocket, RF-1 or LDC-5 at this point in time. I will also have another knife in my left hand pocket. This is usually a smaller knife and can vary between a small lockback to a two bladed slip joint. I actually have begun to prefer the two bladed slip joints. These knives come in REAL handy when you don't want to use a larger knife. I've had a few of these to rotate around and they include a Kershaw Scallion, Buck Prince, a small Boker razor w/pen blade, Leatherman Micra, and so on. I decided to try and find one that would do all the things I want a small slip joint to do and have been looking around for the past couple of weeks. Well I found it today. It is a Case XX 62032 small Texas Jack. It has two blades, one is a clip point and is 2.5" in length while the other is a pen blade and runs about 1.75" in length. Closed length is 3.5". It is double bolstered with cranberry colored handles, at least I think it is cranberry. Can't remember the numbering system that denotes handle material but will have to look it up. Anyway this knife rides very comfortably in my left front pocket. The blade material is chrome-vandium steel so a little extra care is required to prevent rust. Knife came sharp but not to my standards sharp but my 204 has taken care of that. Fit and finish is very good.
So there we be...............more of a review than a simple, "I carry a .........."
Oh yea, at times I do carry a third knife and usually carry it in my left rear pocket, right now that is a BM 710HS with the clip set up for left hand carry and I have been practing opening with my left hand. Thank goodness it is an axis ambi!
Lets hear it..........WHAT ELSE YOU GOT IN THAT POCKET!!!
