two monthes ago everone was up in arms about pocketknives being deemed illegal, i havent heard anything, anyone know what happened to that? What was ruled?

In another thread, somebody posted a letter from Sen. Feinstein that said customs had never ended up publishing final rule making, that the senate unanimously passes the A/O protection ammendment, and that the ammendment needed to be reconciled with the house cbp appropriations bill.

That's pretty much where it stands. This past Wednesday myself and other Knife Rights members, AKTI, NRA and Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation lobbied on Capitol Hill in an effort to get the amendment retained in the final bill. We're all continuing to work towards that effort. While our visits went well for the most part, it is clearly far from a done deal and there are lots of ways for things to be undone. As for Customs, they are holding off while this process is ongoing, and have been supportive of the amendment, but if the amendment isn't retained in the final bill, they are free to go ahead with their ruling.
