What ever happened to K5 Tomahawk

Anyone know what happened to Ed Killian and the Tactical K5 Tomahawk? Benchmade had the Model 172 but those are becoming scarce.

Knifeworks has a pretty good deal on their 172 - I've got a K5, and still found myself considering it.
