Looks like I should be able to do a show this fall in the US. Can anyone recommend a good fall show.
Thanks
Steve

I think the "Rocky Mountain Knife show" in Bosie, ID. is going to become one of the "must attend" shows in the west. It's quickly gaining participation from many of the top makers in the western US. Even though last year was the first show, it was the best show sales wise, that I had attended in nearly 2 years. The folks around the area are "hungry" for custom knives, and it showed.

I agree with everyone else.
The Boise show was both fun and profitable.
Be sure to get one of the special rate rooms at the Marriott Residence.
Last year a suite with a tv in the living room, another in the bedroom, a kitchenette and good sized bathroom was $65 a night.
Dave, the guy who is running the show did an excellent job.
This year they are really beefing up the advertising as well.
Last but not least, they changed the date so it would be on my birthday.
What else could you ask for in a knife show?

I'll be watching for you folks at the show, can't wait to meet some of the guys whose work I admire greatly on the forums! See you all there.

If you are serious, the AKI is at the end of October.....THE most amazing show of knife shows.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

STeven,

Steve wants to 'DO' a show not attend one. ;) The Boise show would be smart for him.

I am a participant in the NYCKS show, and it draws a very diverse series of tableholders.

Just another option.

Hi Steve,

Looks like a good show,

Probably the best fit your type of knives. As well you will probably primarily be dealing with collectors west of the Mississippi given the logistics.

I had planned on going to the show. The problem (for me at least) is getting there. The quickest route for me either went through Los Angles or Salt Lake City....with minimum 2 stops from Atlanta. Somewhere between 8 -10 hours (plus the 2 1/2 hour drive to Atlanta).
