Me I look just loike Jerry Garcia, I've sighned his autograph, I've had people argue with me that I'm him, I've even freaked out quite a few deadheads trippin' on acid at Phish concerts in the past.

Who do you most look like, hey we don't really know, so you could lie and say you look like anyone famous, so go for the gusto be who you wanna be, oh yea and post a pic.

Brian Dennehy. I've mentioned before that there was an unfortunate incident during a long layover at O'Hare airport where I shamelessly and drunkenly impersonated the man while signing autographs and mooching drinks from his fans.

Rugged, cleft chin, greying hair. Adventure movies mostly. He died many years ago while having the same spinal surgery I was scheduled for. Sorry to see him die as a relatively young man but appreciated then, the seriousness of my impending operation. Changed doctors AND procedure.

Uncle [ 3/4 of a century Soon ] Alan :(

Here's a pic of me and my Bro, or if it makes ya feel better Jerry Garcia and David Crosby.

I can't recall ever being told I looked like anybody at all, except my dad.

A lot of my friends and family say I look like Jimmy Fallon from SNL. Three strangers have even approached me and said the same. I'm better looking and funnier though.. ;)

Give me little round glasses and a green tankers cap and I'm Radar O'Reilly from Mash.

Uncle Alan. I really liked Jeff Chandler in the movies. He was a pretty cool guy. You don't see him too often anymore, even on TCM or AMC, do you?

T.E, If you let your hair get longer and bushier and learn to play the guitar, you could go on tour with the Dead. Just tell the Deadheads you came back to life for them. They'll probably believe it just because they want to. ;)

Not to go off on a tangent, but T, is Workingmans Dead not the best regular release Dead album out there?

I have the original, Hundred Year Hall, Workingmans Dead, and I think thats it. I think I got Jerrys last solo album too.

I had about 30 Dead albums at one point, but just kept the ones above. I never did get a Dicks Picks though...

(the only Deadhead who never smoked chronic)

Yea it was and it was released on my birthday.

American Beauty was another good studio album for them.

The Dead were really a band you needed to experience live, there's an old saying, "There's nuthin' like a Grateful Dead Concert."

It's so true. ;) :) :D

The year he died, I planned on going to a concert at RFK stadium to see them live. In September. I remember working for my father, waiting for school to start back up, and hearing over the radio that Jerry had died. One more reason why being a procrastinator is bad! :(

I think it was called the Further Festival, I was going to go to that, but never did. I'd like to hear the new albums of the "Dead", but can't find them listed on All Music Guide.

T, I'm looking for Ron Pigpen McKernans album Bring Me My Shotgun, you wouldn't happen to know where I could get it, do you? Looking for it on cd. Thanks.

Sorry folks, back to your locally scheduled programming...

When Eastwood goes [2 weeks older than me ] I won't know any of the stars today. Haven't seen a Jeff Chandler movie in probably 25 years. Bought a HDTV with 188 channels & when I can root wife away from Home & Garden & the like I'll start searching up some of the oldies. There are quite a few of those stations & several Western ones. She grudgingly lets my see the beginning of the NASCAR races. Boy,what an impressive sight ! Later I prefer to watch the rest in my bedroom.
If anyone sees a cowboy film that the sidekick says " Boogety--boogety" please let me know. I'm sure D. Waltrip first heard it there.

Uncle Alan ;)
